Gaby Kerdoncuff, Jean-François Roger and Serge Leclanche bring back to life the trios of ringers of yesterday. They were inspired by Mathurin the blind, a bombarde player who adapted fashionable melodies to popular Breton music making the crowds dance with fervor. With “Jabadao”, the name of a very popular 19th century round dance, the musicians recycle the popular Breton dances and tunes that they mix with their own compositions. In an unusual musical universe, Jazz, Breton and oriental music intersect. As Gaby Kerdoncuff described it, “Jabadao is dancing, it’s partying; it is also the storm warning.
